Throughout December, hundreds of abused and neglected children throughout the Philadelphia region will have a reason to celebrate as the Support Center for Child Advocates holds its 2014 Holiday Toy Drive. For almost 20 years, local businesses, law firms and individuals have donated new toys and clothing to the children served by Child Advocates. Last year, 5,000 toys were delivered to more than 1,200 boys and girls and they expect hundreds more this year.

Child Advocates will open its Toy Drive Headquarters for the annual Child Advocates Toy Drive on Tuesday, December 2nd to coincide with #GivingTuesday. The new location, the 22nd floor at Two Logan Square, was generously donated by Brandywine Realty Group and will serve as a toy drop-off site. Child Advocates will raise awareness of #GivingTuesday by posting photos online throughout the day when volunteers and donors drop off toys. Volunteers are expected to arrive to sort toys, decorate the site and kick off the giving season with hot chocolate and treats.
